Michael Geissmann, our CEO, has been at the helm of Astrol since 2016. Steering the company toward long-term success and growth. In addition to his role at Astrol, Michael serves as a Vice President at Sun.King Power Electronics Group. Overseeing the group’s European business, his multifaceted responsibilities reflect his leadership skills and strategic vision in the realm of power electronics.
Michael’s educational background is anchored in electrical engineering, and he holds a diploma (MSc equivalent) from ETH Zürich. His international career journey began in 2004 at ABB Switzerland, where he gained valuable experience and expertise. This foundation led him to various positions across the Americas and the Far East, further broadening his leadership experience.
In his position as CEO, Michael strives to ensure the company’s sustained success by building strong partnerships, leading a dynamic team, and fostering healthy growth. One of the aspects Michael appreciates most about his role at Astrol is the diversity of challenges, projects, and the people he collaborates with.
Outside of his professional commitments, Michael finds fulfilment in spending time with his family.
