Daniel Kuhn, our Electronics Engineer, is specialized in the development of hardware and software solutions. His primary focus revolves around solid-state breakers, gate units, power supplies, and customized electronics.
As a key driving force in our R&D team, he designs a wide range of industrial electronics, including FPGA/Microcontroller boards, gate drivers, high- and low-voltage power supplies, and specialized analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits. Additionally, Daniel is proficient in embedded software and programmable logic.
Being at Astrol since March 2007, Daniel brings a lot of experience to the team. His educational background includes an apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician at Camille Bauer AG, Wohlen, from 1999 to 2003. Followed by a college degree with a diploma thesis (comparable to a BSc) at FHNW Brugg/Windisch.
Daniel enjoys the diverse range of projects at Astrol. He is actively engaged in high voltage and pulsed power system design, EMC pre-compliance, testing and troubleshooting.
Daniel Kuhn values spending quality time with his family, including his two daughters. He also enjoys working on various DIY projects. Additionally, he engages in group gymnastics.
